School Counselors
School counselors at Winona Area Public Schools play a vital role in supporting students' success in school and beyond. They work with all students to build skills, set goals, and overcome challenges — academically, socially, and emotionally.
Here’s how our school counselors support students:
- Help students set academic, career, and personal goals
- Provide individual and group counseling for students with specific needs
- Lead classroom lessons on life skills and emotional well-being
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and staff to support student success
- Connect students and families to additional resources when needed
- Use data to design programs that meet student needs
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful school environment
School counselors are here to make sure every student feels seen, supported, and ready to thrive.
