Graduation Requirements

In order to graduate from Winona Senior High School, a student must earn 21.5 credits. (Note: The credit requirements for graduation were changed in the 2021-22 school year. These graduation requirements do not apply to the Class of 2025. Students and families in the Class of 2025 are encouraged to contact their counselor for more information.)

Of the credits required for graduation:

  • English - 4 credits
  • Mathematics - 3 credits
    • 1 in Advanced Algebra
    • .5 in Probability & Statistics
  • Science - 3 credits
    • 1 in Science 9 or Honors Science 9
    • 1 in Biology or AP Biology
    • 1 in Chemistry or 1 in Physics (to be taken in 11th/12th grade)
  • Social studies - 3.5 credits
    • .5 credit in World Geography
  • Physical education - .5 credit
  • Health - .5 credit
  • Fine Arts - 1 credit
  • CTE - .5 credit in Personal Finance
  • Electives - At least 6 credits in elective courses
