AVID Elective

AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a College and Career Readiness Program for anty student that is ready to reach their highest academic potential,
so their grades start rising to the level of their ability.

AVID Elective students research and visit colleges and universities, explore careers, work with college students in small group settings, and fill their “student toolbox” with skills in Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading (WICOR).

Students can take the AVID Elective class in grades 9-12, but must join before second semester of 10th grade. If you are interested in joining the AVID team, mark it on your registration form and staff will follow up with a short meeting where you have a chance to talk about your goals and your individual determination to succeed.
